CJLS: Coreless Solid Shaft Large Slitter Rewinder for 73” Products

CJLS: Coreless Solid Shaft Large Slitter Rewinder for 73” Products

Description

For companies converting Kraft, Butcher, Freezer Wrap, Red Rosin and similar roll products, the CJLS coreless solid shaft large roll surface rewinder is a game changer in the industry. Advantages of coreless rolls include; the elimination of core costs, inventory space, and environmental waste concerns for the end user.

The CJLS model maintains the same level of automation as the JLS, however it utilizes Jennerjahn Machine’s exclusive coreless rewind technology.

Rolls are tightly wound on precision ground solid shafts eliminating the need for cores.  The key to our successful coreless roll technology is winding the roll hard enough to resist deformation that is typical with other manufacturers coreless winding attempts.

Three 1.25” O.D. rewind shafts keep the CJLS running fully automatically.  The shafts are contained during the winding cycle using a chucking method very similar to the standard JLS machine.  While rolls are being wound on one shaft, the second shaft is transferred to the seal station to secure the cut tails, and then advanced to the stripping station where the rolls are stripped and transferred to the exit conveyor.  The third shaft is retrieved from the stripping station by the shaft handler and staged behind the rewind station.  As soon as a completed set of rolls moves from the winding station to the seal station, the shaft handler places the empty shaft in the winding station to begin a new cycle.

Customers with an existing JLS manufactured in the year 2001 or later can take advantage of this exclusive coreless rewind technology by adding a retrofit to their machine.  The coreless technology limits the finished roll rewind diameter to 10.0 inches on new machines and retro-fits.
