Jennerjahn Machine begins recovery process

Jennerjahn Machine begins recovery process

On Tuesday, January 2, 2024, the employees, spouses and Jennerjahn family members gathered at the Matthews Community Center.  This was the first time the employees came together after the building fire that occurred the day after Christmas.

Owner and company president, Chris Jennerjahn along with his wife Kristie assured everyone that Jennerjahn Machine will rebuild at the same location in Matthews, Indiana.

The town of Matthews graciously opened the doors of the local community center to Jennerjahn Machine to set up their administrative, IT, sales, engineering, parts, and service departments and to serve as a temporary base of operations.

An 11,000 square foot building expansion project that began in the fall of 2023 has become a grateful blessing as it was not affected by the fire.  The adjoining machine assembly area only received smoke and soot damage.   This will aid in expediting the recovery process.

A temporary building has also been secured in Marion, Indiana.  Jennerjahn plans to use this facility to assemble machines, handle shipping and receiving and manage inventory.  Customer support and service calls along with administration, sales, IT, and engineering will operate from the temporary facility until the fire damaged portion of the building is rebuilt.

For existing customers that may require parts or service support, we are asking that you email your request to the appropriate department.  The two email addresses are parts@jennerjahn.com and service@jennerjahn.com.  Once an email is received, a representative from that department will follow up with you as soon as possible.

As Chris Jennerjahn addressed his employees on Tuesday morning he said, “The collective talent in this room is what makes Jennerjahn Machine what it is.  We have all our data and all our people, (all of you).  The equipment, inventory and offices can be replaced.”

Following the meeting, the employees, spouses, and members of the Jennerjahn family gathered for a “before” photo in front of the fire damaged building.  Chris Jennerjahn commented to the group, “As we begin our recovery process, I am confident that we will be back better and stronger than before.”
