This bulk packaging line was designed for a customer to bulk pack 500 and 650 foot long plotter and ink jet rolls into a large cardboard tub fastened to a pallet. This system was integrated with a Jennerjahn JLS model slitter/rewinder and an in-line customer supplied roll bagging system. A series of pneumatic push bars create a layer pattern that has been pre-determined by the operator. Once a layer is complete, the forming table moves into the box and transfers the rolls. In this design, the tub and skid are turned on their side as the layers of finished rolls are placed into the tub. Once the last layer is loaded, an elevator lowers the tub and it is transferred and turned upright. Once the filled tub reaches the end of the exit conveyor, the operator can remove it from the system with a forklift.
